Roland Park Native is dedicated to promoting the use of native plants in Baltimore landscapes. Native plants are beautiful and provide significantly more ecological benefits than other landscaping choices.
We started as nothing more than a native plant sale, hosted once a year by the Roland Park Civic League (which we continue to do, by the way, the Saturday after Mother’s Day) in Baltimore, Maryland.
The “we” behind Roland Park Native is Vincent E. Vizachero, by the way. Formerly a financial analyst, Vincent is currently a native plant advocated and consultant. His work includes lecturing, environmental education, social media management, and grant-writing.
You might think the fact that studied Economics at the College of William & Mary in Virginia and Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business would make him a bit of a geek. You’d be right.
